What a way to start the day: The doctors just finished making their rounds. Little Elizabeth is down to 25% ventilator (75% her) for breathing, and weaning even more off her medications. As I type this one of the surgeons is taking out a few more tubes from various places, AND at around noon, this afternoon they will be taking out the breathing tube (ventilator). Once the breathing tube is out, she has to wait four hours before she can eat again, but if at around 4 she takes well to the bottle, they may let Steph feed Elizabeth directly later tonight. Regardless, it's looking like we'll be able to hold our little today!
