If it's nigh-nigh time and you've been put to bed, and you're not supposed to get out of bed at all, don't get up to play with loud maracas that are across the room. They'll give you away every time.

I'm not sure you know how much pleasure this posting sends out all the way across the country. Every time I read it, I can see Elizabeth sneaking across the room and then I can just see her little face when she's "busted" Thanks for posting this!
