Information you need

So you know:

When taking your daughter to her 1 year check up, and the nurse, prior to weighing said daughter, says, "You can take her diaper off now", THERE MAY BE A DELAY before you can actually put said daughter on the scale. If you follow the nurse's directions, and then hold your naked daughter while said nurse tries to get the scale to zero properly, a change of your pants may be required.

Birthday Pics

We haven't posted pics in a while, but boy do we have a lot of them (had the camera, but the cord that connects the camera to the computer got packed...). We'll play catch up in the next couple of weeks. But in the mean time, here are some fun shots from Lizzie's 1st birthday celebration at home tonight with Mommy and Daddy.

Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday dear Elizabeth.
Happy birthday to you!

Our little girl, as of 6:20pm, will be 1 year old. It's amazing how fast this year has gone and how much Elizabeth has changed. It is a wonderful thing to be a parent, and Elizabeth, we are glad to be yours!

Coming home

She's coming home! Woo hoo!

I leave work at noon to go get her. Praise the Lord!

Update on Steph

Steph's surgery went very well and she and the baby are just fine. I spoke with the nurses' station this morning: Steph is still on some pain meds, but they are going to try to transition her to pain pills (instead of thru IV) around breakfast time. Looks like breakfast is going to be the test on whether or not she'll be able to go home today. If she can keep it down, we're set probably. If not, well, they're in no hurry. :-)

Thanks for all the prayers.

Steph's gallbladder

Steph's gallbladder symptoms have been getting worse. She has an appt this morning at 9:50 with the surgeon to discuss options. We originally had a follow up scheduled the 30th, but we couldn't wait that long. We're leaning towards getting it taken out soon.

Please pray for peace and wisdom. Update to come later today.

UPDATE: We went to the surgeon today. And without hesitating, he said let's do it.

So next Tuesday at 10:45am, Steph is scheduled to have her gallbladder taken out through the scope thing a ma bobber. They'll probably keep her overnight, just for observation's sake and then will send her home Wednesday morning.

Please pray for peace for her (and me) and that they would be able to stick with the scope and not have to go to the traditional method (which involves a large incision, etc.). Oh yeah, and that things would go as planned.

Nothing like it

There's nothing quite like sitting, swaying lightly to music, and cuddling with your daughter while she falls asleep on your shoulder.
